16 km from the Pigadia is the seaside village of Arkasa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It is built in a fertile area and impresses its visitors with its evergreen nature, its beautiful beaches and its important historical monuments.<\/p>\n

On the hill Palaiokastro<\/strong> you will see the relics of the ancient city of Arkesia<\/strong>. The remains of the early christian basilica of Agia Anastasia<\/strong>, dating back to the 5th century, are preserved in the same area. Its characteristic is its exquisite mosaic floors, parts of which will be seen in the open-air area of the temple. The mosaic of the floor has been transferred to the museum of Rhodes.<\/p>\n

While staying in the area, visit the monasteries of Agia Sophia<\/strong> and Ypapanti<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You will swim at the beach of Agios Nikolaos<\/strong> and Agios Georgios<\/strong>. A few kilometers outside of Arkasa, you will meet the village of Finiki<\/strong>, with its small fishing harbor and the stunning beaches of Fokia<\/strong>, Adeia<\/strong>, Akrotiri<\/strong> and Pronni<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Arkasa is a developing tourist area, where you will find hotels and rooms to let.<\/p>\n

Also, there are taverns and bars that satisfy all musical preferences.<\/p>\n
