Karpathos has ten villages<\/strong> which, following the road network, form two “circles” on the map, making the round of the island. Beginning the route for the short journey from the capital of Karpathos and the town of Pigadia<\/strong>, visitors follow the road to the east coast of the island and to the village of Aperi<\/strong>, which was the former capital of the island. Follow the route passing through the three mountainous villages of Volada<\/strong>, Othos<\/strong> and Piles<\/strong> until the road begins to descend to the west coast of Karpathos. To finish the route, guests follow the road to the village of Arkasa<\/strong> and continue for the Menetes<\/strong> high until they return back to Pigadia.<\/p>\n For the longest journey after arriving in the village of Aperi and again instead of turning left to the village of Volada, visitors follow the road to the northern part of the island. After a magical journey, guests will reach the small village of Spoa<\/strong> with its many windmills. At this point the road leads to the famous village of Olympus<\/strong>. After a long journey, visitors return to Spoa and after passing the small village they head to the western part of the island and to the village of Mesohori<\/strong>. After Mesohori, follow the main road to Arkasa, Menetes and return to Pigadia again.<\/p>\n
