A small beautiful village about 10 kilometers from the capital of Karpathos, at an altitude of 440 meters between the villages of Aperi and Othos. The exceptional aesthetics and architecture of the houses make the village of Volada one of the most beautiful villages of Karpathos.
It is protected by Panagia Plagia and is a white touch, on a green slope.
These houses of Volada, the whitewashed streets and the flower-covered courtyards seem to guard the ruins of three castles, built in three different time periods.
From the hill above the village, the view is amazing.
Here again, many customs are revived, such as the passing of the icon of the Virgin Mary along with the Epitaph on the Good Friday night.
