It is one of the best preserved monuments in Karpathos and is located in Lefkos, on the southwest coast of the island. Its main feature is the underground tank, carved in the rock.
It consists of a central rectangular room measuring 4X9 m with three rows of pillars, on which are supported four rows of rectangular plates that form the roof.
In the northern narrow and eastern far side of it there are seven altogether blind galleries with vaulted ceilings. Their internal walls and ceiling, like the walls of the central room, are coated with a thick layer of hydraulic mortar.
